Our expert editors and writers are in constant communication with leading composites designers, manufacturers and end users in order to keep subscribers informed about the latest technical advances. Our mission is to promote the use of advanced composite materials for new applications around the world by offering technical information about composites to the broadest readership possible.

Every issue of HPC contains the following special features:

  • Inside Manufacturing
  • Aerospace Coverage
  • Focus on Design
  • Industrial Application Feature
  • Market Trends

Plus: Informative, in-depth news about our industry, additional applications coverage, a calendar of upcoming events, and much more.

Deadlines and Closing Dates

Contributions for possible inclusion in feature stories, Inside Manufacturing or Focus on Design should be submitted at least four months in advance of ad closing date. News items, calendar events, new products and literature should be submitted one month prior to closing date.

Feature Articles

Staff-written articles are based on personal interviews, input from key users or suppliers and research of technical literature. Those with information to contribute should alert the editor well in advance of the appropriate issue's deadline.

Inside Manufacturing

Some issues will explore an innovative or unique manufacturing process. Included in these detailed investigations will be such topics as how to manufacture parts using advanced composite materials; which manufacturing method to choose; how to manufacture cost-effectively; and how to develop solutions to manufacturing problems.

Focus on Design

In every issue we focus on a part or assembly (prototype or commercial), the design process used to develop it, special problems, materials selected, how composites improved the part, and other performance details critical to the design and fabrication process.

News

News of corporate activity such as mergers, expansion and acquisitions; major contracts; program announcements or milestones; major conferences or exhibitions; unusual or innovative new applications of composites including materials, processing methods, and photos; and similar items will be considered. Personnel announcements are not used. Color photos or transparencies are preferred; however, 35-mm slides or negatives are accepted as well.

Applications

Unusual new applications of high-performance composites including materials, processing methods and photos are welcome. Innovative manufacturing methods or design will be stressed.

Speaking Out

A forum for people involved in the composites industry to voice their opinions, ideas and beliefs.

New Products and Literature

Included are announcements of new materials and equipment used in the manufacture or testing of advanced composites products. Detailed information such as properties, applications, equipment innovations and comparison with previous similar products should be supplied. Photos are encouraged. Company brochures that are available to readers may also be submitted for write-up. The actual piece - brochure, leaflet, data sheet, video cassette, pamphlet - should be submitted whenever possible, accompanied by a brief release.

Calendar

Included are announcements of major conferences, workshops, reviews, exhibitions, calls for papers or other events open to the composites community. Details should include dates, location (including hotel), preliminary or final program, sponsor, registration information and contact information. Association and nonprofit events have first priority for publication, based on available space.
