Lattice Composites (Solon, Ohio, U.S.) has completed the acquisition of a previous equity partner’s stake — Mar-Bal Inc. (Chagrin Falls, Ohio, U.S.) — concluding a previously arranged joint venture between the two companies. This strategic move transitions Lattice Composites to being a standalone entity now under the sole leadership of its founder and CEO, Ruchir Shanbhag.

Lattice Composites is a custom formulator and manufacturer of high-performance, solvent-free epoxy sheet molding compounds (SMC), prepreg resins, winding resins and specialty resin systems. Its technical expertise and broad experience deliver comprehensive solutions and quick turnaround. The company highlights its focus on custom formulating resin systems for specific applications and performance envelopes based on customers’ specific process and product performance needs. Lattice Composites was founded in 2015 in Riverside, California; since then it relocated to the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, in April 2021.

Under Ruchir’s continued leadership, Lattice Composites remains committed to providing value to its customers by delivering innovative advanced materials and expanding its market presence with its proprietary technologies.

“Lattice Composites continues to develop our epoxy technologies and our unique formulating as well as manufacturing capabilities to serve a diverse set of customers in various industries,” says Ruchir. “We will continue our quest for excellence and value proposition through innovation in the form of materials that solve customer challenges in either product performance or process limitations. As always, we shall strive to listen, innovate and deliver.”
