Zünd Systemtechnik AG (Altstätten, Switzerland) announces that it is moving even closer to its Brazilian customers. As of the beginning of 2024, Zünd acquired its long-standing sales partner BG Soluções Tecnológicas, which is based in Porto Alegre.

Since the purchase, BG Soluções Tecnológicas has been a wholly owned subsidiary of Zünd and now operates under the name Zund Brasil. The Brazilian company was founded in 1981 by Sergio and Paulo Guerra and has been an official sales and service partner of Zünd Systemtechnik AG since 1990.

Zund Brasil is relocating its headquarters from Porto Alegre to São Paulo. With more than 12 million residents, São Paulo is the largest city in Brazil and the largest industrial hub in Latin America. A dedicated showroom will enable customers and interested parties to experience first-hand the many possibilities of Zünd’s digital cutting technology, and Zund Brasil’s 10 employees are noted to be experts in consulting, training, installation and service. Cristiano Guerra, second generation from BG’s founder, serves as the CEO of Zund Brasil.

“We are pleased to welcome Zund Brasil to our global group of companies,” Oliver Zünd, CEO of Zünd Systemtechnik AG, says. “Working closely with our new subsidiary will allow us to further strengthen our business in Brazil and expand our customer base. I am convinced we will continue to be able to provide our Brazilian customers with the best possible service in the long term. The resources at our disposal and our new subsidiary’s extensive experience will allow us to grow further and continue optimizing our customer support.”
