Ru-bix (Norfolk, U.K.), a specialist manufacturer of polyurethane tooling boards, will be launching a new range of sustainable, bio-based and hybrid tooling boards at the Advanced Engineering Show.
Ru-bix’s new tooling board products include a sustainable solution that uses a mix of biomaterial and recycled board swarf, and a hybrid board with a high glass transition (Tg) temperature and low coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) for prepreg and high-temperature applications. According to Ru-bix, this is ultimately a modern alternative to conventional epoxy.
Sustainability is a priority for both the company and its customers, says Ash Colvin, Ru-bix’s managing director. The company suggests it is committed to reducing CO2 emissions wherever possible.
