Red Composites supplies towpreg material for SCBA applications
Draeger Safety will incorporate the material into composite cylinders for self-contained breathing apparatuses (SCBA) used by firefighters.

Red Composites Ltd. (Newport, U.K.) a manufacturer of glass and carbon fiber towpreg, reported in November 2020 that it has secured qualification and long-term supply agreements for use of its products at Draeger Safety Ltd. (Blyth, U.K.). Draeger Safety will use Red Composites’ towpregs to manufacture composite cylinders for self-contained breathing apparatuses (SCBA), a critical component for wearers such as firefighters.
