NewStar Adhesives (Weston, Mass., U.S.) announced on March 17 the completion of its move to a new manufacturing facility located at 66 Gilreath Road SE in Cartersville, Georgia. The 30,000-square-foot facility includes state-of-the-art manufacturing capabilities for the company’s line of specialty adhesives. According to NewStar Adhesives, the new plant is capable of producing high-quality industrial-grade adhesives in a wide range of sizes from aerosol spray cans to 300-pound pressurized canisters and from one-gallon cans to 55-gallon drums. The plant is designed to be scalable to meet the company's growth needs for years to come.
The new facility has also enabled NewStar to continuously improve its strong quality and service levels. Since opening, the company says 100% of its orders have shipped within five days with returns at less than 2/10ths of 1%. NewStar contends that this performance is made possible by the experienced team of manufacturing professionals that it has recruited, many of whom have deep roots in the specialty adhesives industry for more than 25 years.
“After last year's pandemic-induced pause, NewStar is back on its double-digit growth track,” says Leonard Gilman, VP of Sales. “This growth is driven by new product and new market initiatives mainly in North America.” Gilman expects the company to grow more than 20% above its pre-pandemic levels in 2021.
