Hannah Mason, technical editor of CompositesWorld, spoke with Vittorio Pesenti from Cannon Ergos (Caronno Pertusella, Italy) at CAMX 2024.

Cannon, a company specializing in high-ton presses and equipment for composites fabrication and plastics processing, displayed automotive and industrial components.

One component at the Cannon booth was a fiberglass/phenolic battery enclosure cover. The cover was developed with customer Senvias and uses wet compression molding with phenolic resin to achieve fire resistance.

The company also showed its Interwet LFI process to manufacture electric bus panels, manhole covers and more.

The Interwet LIF technology enables the production of semi-structural or structural components, adjustable parameters like fiber length, and embedded elements.
