RTX recognizes composites company Norco with Premier Supplier Award
Norco’s 100% on-time delivery record to an RTX subsidiary and its overall excellence in collaboration and customer service have driven mutual success.
RTX (formerly Raytheon Technologies, Arlington, Va., U.S.) has recognized Norco Composites & GRP (Poole, Dorset, U.K.) with a Premier Award for the company’s 2022 performance and overall excellence in collaboration and customer service.
The Premier Award is an annual recognition platform under the RTX Performance+ Program, which recognizes suppliers with optimal performance and those who have provided exceptional value to RTX in one of the four key categories: cost competitiveness, technology and innovation, business management, and collaboration and customer service.
Norco has been collaborating with flight simulator manufacturer Collins Aerospace (an RTX subsidiary, Charlotte, N.C., U.S.) for more than a decade on a variety of different flight simulator platforms. With a strong focus on collaborative design for manufacture in composites, Norco has assisted in the development of reliable cost-effective solutions.
In 2022, Norco proved its operational efficiency and commitment to customer service by delivering 14 flight simulators on time, achieving a 100% on-time delivery record. This accomplishment was a significant factor in the company’s receipt of the Premier Award.
“We have always enjoyed working collaboratively with the team at Collins. Their design team are open to innovative approaches to improve their design and they are very supportive of us as a supplier,” Henry Nicholson Cole, engineering director at Norco, says.
The partnership between Norco and RTX has seen continual growth, with both companies focused on achieving mutual success through collaboration. This award further demonstrates the ongoing commitment of both parties to promote excellence in their operations.
Norco is optimistic about continuing to deliver exceptional customer service and collaboration strategies in the upcoming years. Other meaningful success include Norco’s third successful audit citing, and the company’s plans to bolster its aerospace and defense project capacity.
