SAMPE North America announces 2022-2023 election results

The Society for the Advancement of Materials and Process Engineers (SAMPE, Diamond Bar, Calif., U.S.) North America is pleased to announce SAMPE’s 2022-2023 North American officers and global representatives who will assume their position July 1, 2022. This group of peer-elected volunteers will lead SAMPE North America’s strategies and work to promote SAMPE’s global position as a leader in composite material and process innovations.

The 2022-2023 SAMPE North America executive cabinet will be as follows:

• President – Scott Stephenson, director, strategic initiatives and events, CompositesWorld
• Executive Vice President – Sarah Cox, materials engineer, NASA (Washington, D.C., U.S.)
• Vice President ― German Reyes-Villanueva, PhD, associate professor, University of Michigan-Dearborn
• Treasurer – LaNetra Tate, PhD, director, technical engineering operations, Ball Aerospace (Boulder, Colo., U.S.)
• Secretary – Sana Elyas, senior R&D program manager, Arris Composites (Berkeley, Calif., U.S.)
• Immediate Past President – Jerome Berg, technology and development manager, Northrop Grumman| Aeronautic Systems (Palmdale, Calif., U.S.)
• SAMPE North America Parliamentarian position will be announced shortly

SAMPE’s North America executive cabinet and its board of directors will next convene on Monday, May 23, 2022, in conjunction with the SAMPE Charlotte Advanced Material & Process Engineering Conference & Exhibition.

The 2022-2024 SAMPE North America representative to the global board of directors:

• Jerome Berg, technology and development manager, Northrop Grumman | Aeronautic Systems
• Robert Brushaber, director of materials science and engineering, Texas Research Institute Austin Inc.
• Stephen Scarborough, product development manager, Air Liquide Advanced Separations (Newport, Del., and Woburn, Mass., U.S.)

SAMPE’s global board will be convening is Paris, France, on Tuesday, May 3, 2022, during JEC World 2022.
