Editor’s note: CompositesWorld received several new product and technology announcements ahead of JEC World 2020, which had been scheduled for March 3-5. Although that exhibition was postponed to May, CW is now publishing the announcements we received. This is one of them.
IPCO (formerly Sandvik Process Systems, Göppingen, Germany) is presenting its ScatterPro precision scattering system and is doing a live demonstrating of the scattering process.
The company says its double-belt presses and scattering systems provide an efficient solution for the continuous production of a range of materials used by the automotive and transportation industries, including body parts, interior components and wall panels.
The modular design of the company’s ThermoPress press systems enables multiple stages of production, including polymerization, curing and cooling, to be incorporated into a single process. A choice of belt types and pressure modules allows systems to be configured to meet a range of pressure and heating requirements.
The company’s range of upstream equipment includes feeders, unwinders and the ScatterPro scattering series, as well as associated downstream trimming, winding, cutting and handling systems.
IPCO says its scattering systems are used for the accurate scattering of powder, granulate and fibers as well as glitter, flakes, chips, sand, carbon black, glass, corundum, sesame, spices and more.
