JEC World 2025: Anaglyph celebrates 30 years serving industry through the demonstration of PlyMatch, Laminate Tools, CoDA and LAP software technologies for composites manufacturers.
Anaglyph (London, U.K.), a U.K. composites design and manufacturing solutions specialist, is celebrating its 30 years with the demonstration of its latest hand layup ply placement technology, PlyMatch. Anaglyph says it maintain a close relationship with its users to ensure most of its product updates are user-driven.
PlyMatch is used for the accurate placement of plies in hand layup manufacturing of composite parts, as well as for monitoring and validation of automated methods. PlyMatch uses augmented reality to show live, combined images of actual and target ply outlines and fiber orientation details on a monitor, so that the two can be matched by the operator. It is particularly useful in cases with complex geometries that have high curvature or enclosed spaces. According to the company, PlyMatch has a proven record with manufacturers in aerospace, automotive, sports and transport sectors.
Laminate Tools, another highlighted technology, is a standalone Windows software application addressing the design-analysis-check-manufacture group process of structural design, focusing on composite material features. It offers a flexible workflow and communication with leading CAD and FEA applications via industry-standard file formats. Laminate Tools has native interfaces to SolidWorks, Rhino, Nastran, HyperMesh, Ansys, OptiStruct and Abaqus.
Analglyph’s Composite Component Design Analysis (CoDA) is used for preliminary analysis of subcomponents with plate, beam, joint, flange or laminate geometries.
Based on Classical Laminate Theory, Anaglyph is also demonstrating Laminate Analysis Program (LAP) software, used to analyze any type of composite laminate subjected to in-plane loads and moments. The flat laminate is no fixed size, apart from its thickness, so that the analysis can be applied to any composite component where loadings and deformations are known.
