TRFA installs new officers for 2007
John Cech, Vinay Mishra, Bhavin Patel and Jim Steever have been installed as officers for the Thermoset Resin Formulators Assn. (TRFA).
The Thermoset Resin Formulators Association (TRFA, Glen Ellyn, Ill.) has installed new officers for 2007. They are: President: John Cech, CVC Specialty Chemicals; vice president: Vinay Mishra, ITW Devcon; secretary/treasurer: Bhavin Patel, Innovative Resin Systems; and immediate past president: Jim Steever, Rebus, Inc.
As TRFA president, Cech, who serves as general manager at CVC Specialty Chemicals, will promote the organization's mission to serve the needs of thermoset formulators and suppliers and its key objective to be the premier forum for members to interact and exchange knowledge. According to Cech, "CVC's participation in TRFA is a very effective way for our company to pool resources with other industry organizations to achieve common objectives."Benefits to the company he explains, include gaining guidance on pending regulations, access to technology updates via industry-specific programming and having a venue at conferences for meeting both current and potential customers.
TRFA represents members who use thermoset resin chemistries, including epoxy, polyester, vinyl ester, urethane, polyurea, silicone, acrylic and phenolics. Member companies include formulators, distributors, equipment manufacturers, consulting firms, academic institutions and raw material suppliers. These companies serve the coatings, civil engineering, flooring, adhesives, sealants, electrical potting and encapsulation, composites, tooling, casting and moldings industries.
