ACMA now accepting nominations for annual Membership Awards

The American Composites Manufacturing Association (ACMA; Arlington, Va., U.S.) presents a closer look at categories, criteria and nomination information for its Membership Awards which recognize outstanding members for their dedication and hard work to ensure that the composites industry prospers.
ACMA's Outstanding Volunteer Award is given to a member who has contributed significant volunteer time and effort to achieve positive results on behalf of the industry through service to ACMA. The 2019 Outstanding Volunteer recipient was Rick Pauer, applications specialist for Polynt Composites USA (Carpentersville, Ill. U.S.).
Rick Pauer has been involved in the FRP industry for almost 50 years. Throughout that time, he has held several positions that have ranged from lab synthesis, process engineering, formulating, manufacturing, product development and business management in both polyester and vinyl ester resins, as well as in glass fiber. He is a graduate of Valparaiso University with a BS degree in business administration.
Rick is a member of both ACMA and the Society of the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE; Diamond Bar, Calif., U.S.), Treasurer of the PIC (ACMA) and has authored several papers for the composites industry. Rick is also an active speaker, often presenting papers in the area of composite mold making, 3D printing, open and closed molding processes and in fiber-reinforced composite applications.
