BAE Systems selects Norco as key composites supplier
The Norco team’s proficiency and competency will continue to guide its work in providing BAE with quality materials for critical defense craft fabrication.
Norco Composites & GRP (Poole, Dorset, U.K.) has been selected as a key composites suppler to aerospace, defense and information security company BAE Systems (London, U.K.). This decision follows years of diligent work and effective collaboration between Norco and BAE Systems, demonstrating the former’s commitment to quality, value and support.
Norco says its achievement is the result of persistent efforts by its sales and engineering team, specifically Ned Popham and Harry Dodge, in presenting Norco as a long-term solution. This success is shared by the entire team, whose dedication and hard work have directly contributed to this accomplishment.
“We are appointing Norco as one of our key composites suppliers following a successful collaboration in the delivery of key defense assets in 2024,” says Steve Quick, boats program lead at BAE Systems Maritime Services. “Working with Norco reinforces our legacy in quality composite construction of specialist fabrications and will allow continued production of critical composite craft for our defense customers.”
Harry Dodge, Norco, business development manager, reflects on this pivotal moment. “Our appointment by BAE Systems is a proud moment for all of us at Norco,” Dodge says. “It represents a vote of confidence from one of the defense industry’s most prominent OEMs in our pursuit of excellence in providing high-quality products and services to our clients. We look forward to continuing our work with BAE Systems and further pioneering in the defense sector.”
