On Sept. 9 the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE, Diamond Bar, Calif., U.S.) announced that The Boeing Company (Chicago, Ill., U.S.) has renewed its “Champion” level corporate sponsorship with SAMPE North America for the third year.
Details of the sponsorship include an emphasis in Boeing collaborating with SAMPE on future workshops and student activities as well as the company supporting more than 400 SAMPE student chapter members for one year, and the support of SAMPE’s student poster, bridge and additive manufacturing (AM) competitions.
“This agreement represents a long-standing relationship between SAMPE and Boeing that benefits the entire SAMPE community,” says Zane Clark, CEO of SAMPE North America. “By having Boeing employees actively engaged in SAMPE events and conferences, our membership gains access to the aerospace industry’s top technical professionals.”
“The Boeing Company is proud to partner, once again, with SAMPE North America,” says Karin Anderson, technical fellow at Boeing South Carolina, and SAMPE’s representative at Boeing. “This investment in SAMPE reflects Boeing’s long-standing commitment to inspire and prepare the next generation of innovators.”
Boeing says it is committed to helping students of all backgrounds achieve their full potential through collaborations designed to inspire and cultivate a global workforce for aerospace innovation by increasing access to education, accelerating skills development and enriching the educational experience for students. The goal is to graduate more students who are ready to enter aerospace and advanced manufacturing careers and STEM-focused post-secondary education.
SAMPE North America offers four levels of corporate sponsorships: Champion, Diamond, Platinum, Gold and Silver. More information on the sponsorships can be found here.
