In 2020, lead times for IPS Adhesives’ (Durham, N.C., U.S.) Integra Adhesive and SCIGRIP structural adhesive brands were negative affected due to consolidation efforts between two of the company’s facilities in North America. On March 3, IPS Adhesives announced that it has been able to return to 2-week lead times for Integra Adhesive brand products on new orders. The company says SCIGRIP bulk adhesives in drums and pails remains at a 3-week lead time, which cartridges remain at a 4-week lead time.
IPS Adhesives says its operation and customer service teams have worked diligently over the past 90 days to make internal changes to improve the company’s ability to meet customer commitments, resulting in the ability to reduce lead times to meet customer expectations.
The company also says it is aware of several shortages and supply chain issues occurring in early 2021, and that it has strategically procured ahead in key areas of raw materials in order to minimize disruptions to customers.
Scott McDowell, president of IPS Adhesives, says, “Delivery and fulfillment of quality adhesives are a top priority for us. We understand how critical it is for our customers to reliably receive IPS Adhesives products on time with good quality. We are excited to be able to serve our customer with quicker delivery times again.”
