CAMX 2022 exhibit preview: Gougeon Brothers Inc.
Pro-Set Epoxy offers a variety of standard and customizable epoxy systems to create strong, lightweight and high-performance composites that can withstand harsh environments.
Gougeon Brothers Inc. (Bay City, Mich., U.S.) is an ISO 9001:2015-certified company that manufactures Pro-Set Epoxy, a resin system that continues to set the standard for room-temperature and post-cured adhesives, laminating and infusion epoxies, as well as tooling and assembly. Pro-Set is used to create strong, lightweight and high-performance composites that can withstand the harshest environments, according to the company.
Standard Pro-Set epoxies reportedly enable improved handling characteristics, excellent cure profiles and rapid order fulfillment at competitive prices. Gougeon Brothers says the resin systems enable manufacturers to select resin by viscosity and hardener by speed. Uniform mix ratios are available to enable in-shop custom blends for maximum adaptability to proprietary processes.
Laminating Epoxies is said to be a versatile system of low viscosity, medium viscosity and thixotropic liquid resins and hardeners designed to meet a wide range of wet layup laminating applications; Infusion Epoxies are low-viscosity systems with a range of hardeners to meet the demands of modern infusion processes; High-Temp Epoxies are ideal for synthetic composite mold and part manufacturing; Tooling Epoxies comprise a formulated fairing putty for filling and fairing composite structures in manufacturing and repair applications; Absolute Clear Epoxies are ultra-clear systems designed for high-volume production with fast tack-free times, improved sandability and optimized cosmetics; and Adhesive Epoxies are pre-thickened, sheer thinning, two-part epoxies used for secondary bonding of laminated composites as well as steel, aluminum, cast iron, concrete, stone and most wood.
Custom and special order formulations are also available.
