Crysound (Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China) is displaying its CRY8120 series of acoustic imaging cameras, devices designed to detect gas leaks, identify electrical partial discharge (PD) and monitor mechanical deterioration.
Equipped with 200 microphones and a 100-kHz bandwidth, the CRY8120 series can provide enhanced computing power. With the ability to detect small leaks up to 200 m away, the device is said to surpass traditional inspection methods. With a lightweight 1.4-kg design , the device is portable and simple to maneuver in tight spaces.
The CRY8120 provides real-time results, which can reduce inspection times. For gas leaks, it not only locates the source swiftly, but also estimates the volume of leakage and potential economic impacts, which facilitate prompt and effective repairs. The camera’s real-time display of PRPD charts aids in the precise identification of electrical discharge types, enabling proactive maintenance decisions and preventing potential system failures.
Furthermore, the CRY8120 incorporates advanced connectivity options like Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, enabling seamless data transmission and quick reporting. Integrating a thermal camera and contact sensors provides a more comprehensive inspection solution, adaptable to various applications.
The camera features an 8" display with a 1.920 × 1.200 resolution, enabling visibility of leaks and faults with 6x digital zoom. Its 600-nit brightness is created for both indoor and outdoor use, providing clear visibility in bright conditions. With a battery life that supports up to 5 hours of continuous operation, and an option for an additional battery, the CRY8120 is designed for prolonged use without the need for frequent recharges.
