Advanced Composites Solutions (ACS, Tortoreto, Teramo, Italy) have signed with two other companies from Italy’s Abruzzo region, Susta (Castellalto, Teramo, Italy) and U.Form (Castellalto, Teramo, Italy), to create the CarbonForm network. The contract will lead to the development of press forming technologies with the use of composite materials and will reportedly give rise to the possibility of mass-producing a much higher number of composite parts— particularly for the automotive sector — compared to traditional composite molding technologies with autoclave machines.

ACS specializes in the design and production of carbon fiber and other composite parts for automotive, nautical, aerospace and industrial sectors. U.Form supplies European car manufacturers with construction and manufacturing of dies for metal deformation and production of steel components. The company is focused on stamping finished and semi-finished parts for the automotive industry with the hot stamping process. Susta specializes in the design and manufacturing of stamping dies for the automotive industry, from engineering and construction to assembly and service.
