FACC grows workforce to 3,000 employees
After expanding its crew by more than 250 members of staff since the beginning of the year, FACC now boasts 3,000 employees worldwide, with more available positions to come.
With the aviation industry slowly recovering, FACC (Ried im Innkreis, Austria) announces that it has been able to reach its objective of welcoming 200 new employees on board by the end of the year. The company’s workforce now surpasses 3,000 employees globally, the rapid growth a byproduct of entrepreneurial success — in the last six months alone, FACC reported new orders exceeding $500 million — as well as what FACC believes is its attractiveness as an employer.
“We are proud of our 3,000 employees who work at FACC every day to provide the global aircraft industry with innovations made in Austria,” FACC CEO Robert Machtlinger emphasizes. “All [of] our employees display a passion for the aerospace industry. This innovative strength is also the reason why we continue to cause a stir internationally with new solutions.”
This team performance is only possible if every employee is given the opportunity to develop individually, FACC notes. The FACC Academy, for example, offers customized further training for the entire workforce, from production personnel to IT specialists. This also includes scholarships for studies at a university or a university of applied sciences. Ultimately, these opportunities are said to enable a career in the world of international aerospace.
FACC also attaches great importance to reconciling work and family life, providing all-day childcare the whole year round through the FACC Kids Club. In addition, the company is committed to working time models that allow employees to organize their work as flexibly as possible. FACC says it particularly values respectful interaction, open communication and intellectual freedom. In addition to the possibility of working from home and flexible working hours, co-working spaces and so-called “think cells” are available to enable highly concentrated and undisturbed work on projects during particularly intense phases.
Due to its positive order situation, the company has set itself the target of taking on a further 100 employees by the end of the year. With an order book in excess of $5.5 billion, strong growth is forecast for the coming years as well.
