Toray Advanced Composites, Horizon Aircraft, Skydweller Aero, BYK, North Thin Ply Technology and Crisalion Mobility have made new appointments related to the composites industry.
Crisalion Mobility annonuces chief business development officer
Electric mobility solutions company Crisalion Mobility (Madrid, Spain) has appointed Laure Glatron as its new chief business development officer.

Glatron was born in France and has lived in Spain for more than 10 years. She brings a wealth of experience, having held senior positions in the airline and tourism sector and in the field of business development. Her main challenge in this new role will be to drive Crisalion Mobility’s strategic growth and help position it as a key player in shaping the future of mobility.
Glatron holds a degree in business administration and management and a master’s degree in international trade from the Panthéon-Assas University in Paris. She also completed the Senior Management in Digital Business program at The Valley Digital Business School in Madrid.
Prior to joining Crisalion, Glatron held senior positions in the fields of business development, strategic alliances and marketing at prestigious companies such as Air France KLM, The Walt Disney Co. and Accor Group.

Heike Buskies heads BYK's global plastics additives business
BYK’s (Wesel, Germany) Heike Buskies has taken over the management of the global business line plastics additives at BYK. She joined the additives experts BYK in October 2012 when she left Evonik and started as sales manager of plastics additives for greater Europe. In July 2021, she took over responsibility for the regional business line plastics additives for greater Europe.
“With her strong technical expertise and background in sales, with customers and within the end-use activities at BYK, she is the ideal person to strategically develop the global business of our plastics additives segments,” says Dr. Stefan Mößmer, BYK managing director of marketing and commercial, to whom Buskies reports directly.
Buskies’ predecessor, Ted Williams, has asked for a regional adjustment of his responsibilities in order to concentrate on the gas and oil business, which is largely focused on NAFTA. He will also head the NAFTA region as regional business line manager plastics additives and will continue to further expand the business in the NAFTA region. In the plastics additives segment, he reports to Buskies. BYK is a global supplier of specialty chemicals.
Skydweller Aero maintains competitiveness with CTO appointment
Skydweller Aero Inc. (Oklahoma City, Okla., U.S.) announces that Travis Vetter, its chief engineer, has been appointed CTO. In his new position, Vetter will spearhead Skydweller’s strategic utilization of innovative technologies to maintain competitiveness and achieve the company’s objectives.

Vetter, a longstanding member of Skydweller’s leadership team, previously served as a chief engineer for special programs at Northrop Grumman. In this role, he provided technical guidance to hundreds of engineers and oversaw millions of dollars in annual revenue. Before that, he held key technical positions at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA), where he led various programs including the Tern program as the air vehicle, VMS and flight controls lead, as well as serving as the guidance navigation and control IPT special projects lead and aeroelastic controls lead for undisclosed projects.
He also brings extensive expertise in aircraft design, UAV flight control, aeroelastic systems control, vehicle management systems and mission systems integration. He holds two bachelor’s degrees and a master’s degree in mechanical and aeronautical engineering from the University of California.
EVTOL company Electra names CEO
Electra.aero Inc. (Electra, Manassas, Va., U.S.) announces the appointment of B. Marc Allen as its new CEO.
Allen joins Electra after a distinguished career at The Boeing Company, where he most recently served as chief strategy officer and senior VP for strategy and corporate development. He led the $5 billion customer finance business before spending nearly a decade on Boeing’s Executive Council, where he served as president of Boeing International and oversaw critical enterprise-wide functions. As head of all venture businesses, he led Wisk Aero’s restructuring and full acquisition, focusing on the future of autonomous flight and serving as chairman. Other roles at Boeing included president of the Embraer Partnership, president of Boeing China and general counsel of Boeing International. Allen is a graduate of Princeton University and holds a JD from Yale Law School. His early career includes clerking for U.S. Supreme Court Justice Anthony M. Kennedy, co-founding a sports medicine startup and serving as a business consultant with The Parthenon Group.
