SAMPE North America awards 2021 student chapter grants
Annual program will support 24 universities on technical projects for the 2021 year and help chapters build stronger programs.
The Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE, Diamond Bar, Calif., U.S.) announced on March 9 that it has selected 24 SAMPE student chapters to receive grants to support technical projects at their universities and help chapters build stronger programs that increase student involvement and recognize future leaders. Through the hard work of the student members and faculty advisors, SAMPE says these chapters have made significant contributions to their schools and SAMPE itself, as described in their grant proposals.
The annual program was created to acknowledge and financially support the SAMPE Student Chapters current accomplishments, as well as encourage their continued growth and development for future endeavors.
“This year, our student chapters had the added challenge of keeping their chapter membership engaged during a global pandemic, which makes earning these grants even more remarkable,” said Scott Stephenson, SAMPE vice president.
