CAMX 2023

For the past 10 years, CAMX has brought together thousands of composites industry professionals in North America every year to experience hundreds of new technology on display, learn from industry leaders and network. Source | CW

The 2024 edition of the Composites and Advanced Materials Expo (CAMX), scheduled for Sept. 9-12 in San Diego, California, marks 10 years since North America’s largest composites industry trade show and conference first launched its inaugural event in 2014.

CAMX 2024, co-hosted by the American Composites Manufacturers Association (ACMA, Arlington, Va., U.S.) and the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE, Diamond Bar, Calif., U.S.), will be held at the San Diego Convention Center. Conference presentations will take place Sept. 9-12, with the show floor open from Sept. 10-12.

Keynote speaker

Kicking off Tuesday, Sept. 10 will be a General Session featuring keynote speaker Maurice Conti. Conti is a recognized futurist, innovator and technology strategist who has advised companies like Amazon Web Services, Mercedes AMG, NielsenIQ and Blackline Systems. He will bring his insights and expertise in AI, immersive reality, advanced robotics and technology for sustainability.

Show floor

Maintaining tradition, the show floor will feature new materials, process technologies and applications on display from more than 450 exhibitors (as of July 15th). Not sure where to start? Follow CW’s CAMX page for our lineup of this year’s exhibitor previews.

Education and networking

In addition to the exhibits themselves, this year’s agenda includes opportunities for education and networking such as:

  • Pre-conference tutorials and 2 days of conference programming including technical paper presentations, education sessions and poster sessions
  • Presentations of this year’s CAMX and Awards for Composites Excellence (ACE)
  • A Good Day, CAMX panel to kick off Thursday morning on the show floor from top industry CEOs, touching on hot topics like AI, infrastructure and sustainability
  • Networking sessions for first-time attendees and young professionals.

10th anniversary

Plus, keep an eye out for ways CAMX organizers are celebrating the event’s 10th anniversary around the show floor, including a commemorative video and an interactive timeline contributed by exhibitors and partners detailing how far the industry has come in the past decade.
