Scott Bader Co. Ltd. (Wellingborough, U.K.) has recently announced its partnership with Pultex GmbH (Simmerath, Germany) for the distribution of Crestabond and Crestomer structural adhesives for composite applications in Germany.
Established in 1991, Pultex has built long-term partnerships with a wide variety of customers in the German composite market. The company also offers the adhesive dispensing equipment required for Crestabond and Crestomer adhesives. According to Scott Bader, these factors make Pultex the obvious choice as its adhesive solution provider.
“With this partnership, we continue to develop our global footprint within the structural adhesive industry,” says Jonathan Stowell, commercial director at Scott Bader. “We look forward to working with Pultex to serve our valued customers across Germany.”
Originally launched in 2010, Crestabond primerless MMA structural adhesives are a range of 1:1 and 10:1 structural adhesives, suitable for bonding a variety of substrates including composites, thermoplastics and metals. Crestabond also offers varying working times to suit different applications.
Crestomer structural adhesives are a range of urethane acrylate-based structural adhesives originally developed for bonding composite and marine ply substrates. Scott Bader says its Crestomer structural adhesives have more than 40 years of proven use in marine, construction, wind energy, transport, agricultural and recreational vehicle applications.
“Scott Bader and their products complete our range and offers us new possibilities to meet the increasing demands of our customers for high-quality adhesives,” adds Guido Bongard, managing director at Pultex. “The intersections of our business areas are high. With our knowledge of the German market and Scott Bader’s experience in the adhesive industry we look forward to a successful partnership.”
