Carbon fiber prepeg tubes maximize consistency, customization capabilities
CAMX 2024: NitPro Composites features its customizable carbon fiber prepeg tubes for enhanced consistency, shearing, bending and compression properties.
NitPro Composites (Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India) presents carbon fiber prepeg tubes with inner diameters starting from 2 mm. The tubes are constructed using multiple plies of multi-directional or unidirectional (UD) carbon fiber and an epoxy matrix.
These tubes are intended for applications that require high bending stiffness and low weight, such as drones and unmanned aerial vehicles (AUV), automobile parts, telescopic poles, fishing rods, automation robotics, aerospace, military structures, sports equipment and others.
NitPro Composites provides 1K, 3K and 12K carbon fiber tubes in various finishes, such as cello-wrapped gloss, smooth grinded gloss, smooth grounded matte finish, twill weave, plain weave and UD weave patterns. Customized finishes can be requested based on individual client requirements.
These carbon fiber prepeg tubes enable maximum consistency across the thickness of tubes. The process also affords more customization in terms of fiber orientation, which optimizes mechanical properties like compression, bending, shearing and so on. NitPro Composites’ prepreg carbon fiber manufacturing process is primarily used for producing small- to medium-diameter tubes with an outer diameter of up to 120 mm and a length up to 2 m long.
Key features include:
- Accurate layup for different applications
- Enhanced stiffness
- Accurate tolerance at inner and outer diameter
- Thermal stability
- Dimensionally stable
- Simple machining.
NitPro Composites specializes in carbon fiber roll-wrapped tubes in an array of cross-sections and sizes. Its products are available in varying dimensions.
