Elliott Co. of Indianapolis (Ind., U.S.) has served the composites marketplace for almost 50 years, producing high-quality products with optimal customer service and product support. This third-generation family business says it can handle large-volume opportunities but is nimble enough to produce one-offs or special projects.

The company’s Elfoam products are available in densities of 2, 2.5, 3, 4 and 6 lb/ft3, and are supplied as blocks, sheets and custom shapes. Elfoam is a rigid, unfaced polyiso (urethane) closed cell foam with a temperature range of -297ºF to +300°F. This range, coupled with high resin compatibility — whether it is polyester, vinyl ester or epoxy — provides great flexibility for use as a core material.

Other characteristics, which demonstrate its versatility, are high strength-to-weight ratios, good chemical resistance, improved thermal insulation ratings, Class 1 fire performance and low water permeability. Elfoam is easily machined, perforated, formed and sliced.

Elliott Co. provides material availability throughout North America, from its Midwest location in Indianapolis through to distributors located nationally.
