This year’s JEC World trade show is around the corner, scheduled for March 5-7 at the Paris Nord Villepinte in Paris, France.
As of the end of 2023, JEC anticipates more than 43,500 visitors from around the world, and reports more than 1,300 exhibitors hailing from 49 countries. There are 27 international pavilions, representing Germany, Austria, Belgium, China, South Korea, the United States, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Switzerland and Turkey.
JEC also reports 116 first-time exhibitors at the show this year, including newcomers Acciona Construcción S.A., Büfa Composite Systems, ExxonMobil, Geiss AG, Kaon Polymer, Sealants Co. Ltd. and Sekisui Aerospace.
In addition to exhibits, the show features a program full of conference sessions and discussion panels. This year, many of these will be focused on challenges and solutions related to sustainability, such as use of natural fibers and recycled materials, as well as digitization and automation.
In 2024, JEC Group expects 43,500 visitors and 1,300 exhibits representing 49 countries.
This year’s JEC Innovation Award finalists will also be on display on the show floor. Award winners will be announced Feb. 8 ahead of the show, so keep an eye on CW’s website and subscribe to the CW Today e-newsletter for this announcement. JEC Innovation Awards are selected by a jury of industry judges, including from awards partner Kordsa (Izmit, Turkey).
The three Startup Booster winners, representing the categories “Materials & Products,” “Process, Manufacturing & Equipment” and “Sustainability,” will also be honored at the show (see last year’s winners). These winners are chosen by an industry panel including award partners Airbus (Toulouse, France), Owens Corning (Toledo, Ohio, U.S.) and Mercedes-Benz (Stuttgart, Germany).
Attendees can also expect the return of JEC Innovation Planets, which showcase applications specific to mobility, aerospace, ground transportation and — new in 2024 — building and infrastructure. Other dedicated areas will include the Natural Fibers Village, SME Village, Campus Village, Startup Booster Village and a Discover Composites Area dedicated to the sporting goods industry. A dedicated Live Demonstration Area will give attendees a chance to see technology in action.
In November 2023, JEC Group and the European Composites Industry Association (EuCIA, Brussels, Belgium) announced a 3-year agreement to join forces in promoting the benefits of composite materials and their role in creating a net-zero future. Among the project goals includes new initiatives from EuCIA at JEC World 2024.
Of course, last but not least, the show represents an important networking opportunity for connecting with colleagues from across the world and all along the supply chain. The CW team looks forward to meeting many of you there!
