The organizing committee for the American Society for Composites (ASC) 2024 conference is calling for abstract submissions. This annual technical conference is celebrating its 39th year, taking place from Oct. 21-24, 2024 at the Hyatt Regency Mission Bay in San Diego, California. It will be held in conjunction with the 20th US-Japan Conference on Composite Materials and the 60th Anniversary Meeting of the ASTM Committee D30 to bring together leaders in composites from across the globe, foster information exchange and enable community building.
The ASC annual technical conference, co-organized by the University of California San Diego, San Diego State University and University of San Diego, is recognized as a forum for the convergence of engineering and scientific communities in the composites sector in the U.S. This year, organizers are anticipating more than 400 attendees from around the globe.
The three-day conference features three plenary and multiple keynote speakers, short courses and a wide range of parallel sessions showcasing research advancements in various topics. These include, but are not limited to: NASA HiCAM; additive manufacturing; artificial intelligence and machine learning in composites; composites repair; composites education; nano- and biocomposites; NDE; thermoplastic composites; and sustainability.
Abstracts for this event are currently being accepted across various topics related to composite materials. Abstracts can be submitted to several topical areas listed here; they must be 150-250 words. The extended deadline for submissions is March 15, 2024. Submit here.
