AOC (Schaffhausen, Switzerland) and Büfa (Rastede, Germany) are expanding their existing collaboration in distribution to southeast Europe through Büfa Composites Austria. This agreement will enable customers in the region to have better access to a range of AOC’s resins, gelcoats and auxiliary materials.
Büfa Composite Systems has been purchasing resins from AOC for more than 50 years, processing these into tailor-made reactive resin specialties and complete solutions. In addition, the companies have a long-standing sales and distribution partnership in numerous European countries. The comprehensive distribution network in Europe includes Germany, Switzerland, Poland, Baltic States, Spain and Portugal, Belgium, Netherlands, Finland, Great Britain, Ireland and Italy.
With this new collaboration, Büfa is strengthening its market activities through setting up the new distribution company Büfa Composites Austria. This allows processors in the composites industry to obtain both Büfa’s resin specialties, as well as AOC’s portfolio of vinyl ester and unsaturated polyester resins in Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Moldova, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Montenegro, Kosovo, Albania, Northern Macedonia and Bulgaria.
“Büfa and AOC have been building a very strong partnership over the years,” says Lothar Kempf, general manager of Büfa Composite Systems. “We strongly believe the new extension of our collaboration will be of great benefit to composite processors in the Southeast European region.”
“Both Büfa and AOC are offering high-quality material solutions tailored to individual composite fabricators’ needs,” says Stefan Osterwind, managing director of AOC EMEA. “We have proven many times that customers can successfully grow their business, building on the support from our combined companies.”
“Improving the working environment and processing robustness has become an important criteria for customers to buy from Büfa and AOC,” Kempf adds. “With our products customer can make composite components consistently and often reduce environmental footprint at the same time. This means they can develop new markets and applications, and build a sustainable future for their company.”
