CompositesWorld reports that it has finalized the agenda for the 2022 Carbon Fiber Conference, Nov. 15-17, 2022, in Greenville, S.C., U.S. The Carbon Fiber Conference, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, is the preeminent conference on the manufacture, supply, demand and application of carbon fiber and carbon fiber-reinforced composite parts and structures.
This year’s agenda features two panels and a robust slate of speakers from companies such as GKN Aerospace, MTorres, LM Wind Power, ALPEX Technologies, AeroDynamic Advisory, Baker Industries, Lilium, Trillium Renewable Chemicals, Cygnet Texkimp, 9T Labs, Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL), AvCarb and many others. Some topics that will be addressed include:
- Clean Sky 2 Multifunctional Fuselage Demonstrator (MFFD)
- Outook for carbon fiber recycling
- Composites manufacturing automation
- Trends in tooling for carbon fiber composites fabrication
- Carbon fiber application trends in wind power
- Challenges and opportunities in advanced air mobility (AAM)
- Alternate precursor feedstocks
- Carbon fibers for hydrogen fuel cells
Carbon Fiber 2022 will also feature two pre-conference seminars. One features a presentation by Tony Roberts and Dan Pichler on carbon fiber supply and demand; the other features a presentation by CW Senior Technical Editor, Ginger Gardiner on carbon fiber use in hydrogen storage applications.
Attendees will also enjoy networking receptions, luncheons and a tour of Clemson University’s International Center for Automotive Research (CUICAR, limited space available).
Early bird registration for the conference is $1,695 and expires Oct. 14. After Oct. 14, registration increases to $1,795.
