EuReComp Workshop to discuss latest composite advancements
Composites professionals are invited to attend the April 20th in-person event at TU Dresden to learn about and discuss the latest trends and technologies in composites recycling, and the future of the industry.
The EuReComp project invites industry experts, undergraduate or graduate students or simply those compelled by composites in general to attend its first EuReComp Open Workshop. Taking place April 20, 2023 from 8:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. at the Institut für Leichtbau und Kunststofftechnik (ILK), TU Dresden (TUD) in Germany, the event is bringing together leading experts in the composites industry to share their knowledge and expertise regarding recycling and circularity in composites.
EuReComp, a Horizon Europe collaborative research project focused on circularity, set out to provide sustainable methods toward recycling and reuse of composite materials, coming from components used in various industries, such as aeronautics and wind energy. EuReComp is an EC-funded cooperation project, led by Research Lab of Advanced Composite, Nano Materials & Nanotechnology of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA, Greece), which started in April 2022 with a duration of four years.
Organized by TUD, KUZ and project coordinators NTUA, the April workshop aims to promote the development of innovative composites materials and technologies by facilitating collaboration among industry experts. The event will feature a range of presentations and panel discussions on topics such as new composites manufacturing techniques, emerging materials and the future of composites in various applications.
Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the EuReComp e-learning platform, composite recycling technologies and solvolysis technologies within the project. The event will conclude with a round table discussion, providing a forum for an exchange of ideas between presenters and audience. In-person participants will also have the chance to attend a guided tour through the TU Dresden facilities, where they will be able to see a lightweight engineering demonstration and participate in various sessions.
The workshop is open to all composites professionals, including researchers, manufacturers, engineers and designers. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with their peers, learn from leading experts and gain valuable insights into the latest advancements in composites technologies. The workshop is taking place physically but will also be available online allowing participants to attend virtually. Participation is open to the entire composite’s community free of charge.
