Revchem Composites set to support H1 Unlimited hydroplane racing teams
Composites distributor is aiding racing boat teams with composite products, and the race winner with an established “Revchem All Revved Up Award.”
Revchem Composites (Bloomington, Calif., U.S.), a U.S. composites distribution company, has joined forces with several H1 Unlimited Hydroplane Racing teams, in a strategic partnership for the 2022 summer racing season. The 47-year-old Revchem Composites has established the “Revchem All Revved Up Award” to be presented to participating Unlimited Hydroplane teams for the fastest competition lap at each of the remaining three races in Kennewick, Wash., Seattle and San Diego. Each winner will then have the opportunity to win a cash prize at the conclusion of the series season at the HomeStreet Bank San Diego Bayfair on Sept. 18, 2022. In addition to the award, Revchem Composites says it will support teams with a variety of composite products it distributes.
“All of us at Revchem Composites are excited to support the Unlimited Hydroplane Summer Racing season and teams. Revchem has supported and been involved with the marine industry since our early years and we are all passionate about boat racing,” Pete Pendleton, president of Revchem Composites, says. “Hydroplane racing is a new sport for us, however, we have supported boat racing and high-speed ski racing over the years. We feel that our alignment with the hydroplane racing teams will be a synergistic relationship.”
Mike Hanson, chief engineer for the two Miss Madison Race team unlimited hydroplanes has been using Revchem Composites since 2000 when they opened their Pacific Northwest distribution center in Washington.
“Revchem’s involvement couldn’t have come at a better time, with both the U-40 ‘Miss Beacon Plumbing’ and U-9 ‘Lynx Healthcare’ teams suffering extensive composite damage last weekend at the Indiana Governor’s Cup races,” Hanson says after learning of the marketing partnership. “Virtually everything on unlimited hydroplanes are made from products Revchem distributes and Miss Madison Racing will be making sure that our team’s future hydroplanes will be built utilizing Revchem.”
Revchem says it has a wide range of applications and business interests that stretch from aerospace and military applications to movies, marine, surf and many other sports industries. Revchem Composites’ affiliation with racing powerboats is a natural extension into the marine industry.
