Scott Bader partners with Elixir for Crestabond distribution in India
Crestabond MMA structural adhesives range will continue to drive advanced composites growth in India, in addition to Scott Bader’s global expertise and local technical support.
Scott Bader (Wellingborough, U.K.) has partnered with Elixir (Bengaluru, India) for the distribution of Crestabond structural adhesives across India. The announcement is in line with the company’s April 2022 comittment to support the Indian composites market.
“India is one of the fastest growing regions for advanced composites across several renewable energy markets such as wind energy, solar power and electric vehicles,” Latha Ekambaram, Scott Bader’s commercial director for Southeast Asia and India, notes. “There is also increased demand for the light weighting of components in the Indian rail and automotive markets. This offers great opportunities for our Crestabond range of MMA structural adhesives with its strength and toughness. We are pleased to partner with Elixir to bring together their knowledge of the Indian market and our global expertise in adhesive production to offer Indian customers the best of both worlds with complete application and technical support available locally.”
Established in 2011, Elixir-India is a distribution company focused on the application of adhesives, sealants and dispensing systems in a wide range of industries including transportation, renewable energy, aerospace, machine building and general manufacturing. Elixir’s goal is to help its customers find better ways to join and assemble parts. The company operates and provides its high technology adhesive solutions nationwide and also complements its products with a complete range of premium automatic dispensing equipment and handheld dispensers.
Scott Bader has more than 40 years’ experience in designing and manufacturing high-performance adhesives for its customers. Originally launched in 2010, Crestabond primeless MMA structural adhesives are a range of 1:1 and 10:1 structural adhesives, suitable for bonding a range of substrates including composites, thermoplastics and metals. The Crestabond range benefits from varying working times to suit different applications.
Crestabond structural adhesives are manufactured at multiple Scott Bader sites and distributed to customers around the world. Scott Bader Middle East, for example, has vast experience in providing technical support and expertise to adhesive customers in the Middle East and Asia.
“Scott Bader and its leading brand of Crestabond MMA structural adhesives completes our range of product offering to customers in India,” Praveen Kumar Khargwanshi, Elixir, emphasizes. “Moreover, it means the local availability of top-quality structural adhesives that Scott Bader is known for around the world.”
