Team Kratos Racing Electric, a nonprofit Formula Student team from PCET’s Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering in India, is looking to connect with potential sponsors in the composites industry for its next racing vehicle development.

Comprised of a team of 43 engineering students, and a six times National Champion in Formula Bharat and SAE Supra, Team Kratos claims to be the first and only Indian team to manufacture a complete, in-house carbon fiber prepreg/aluminum honeycomb monocoque chassis for its vehicle. In 2023, the team participated in Formula Student East and Formula Student Germany and was globally ranked 7th.

Team Kratos, to compete in two upcoming international events for the first time, is currently developing a new carbon fiber monocoque and is need of carbon fiber prepreg to achieve its goals through sponsorship. In return, the team offers substantial exposure through car branding, team uniforms, promotional materials and social media. This partnership would highlight the sponsoring company’s commitment to innovation and quality in front of a dedicated audience.

Team Kratos

Team Kratos built its first vehicle in 2015. Since then, its students have built three combustion Formula-styled cars and three electric cars. This year, along with its new monocoque, the team is planning to build a carbon fiber/aramid and aluminum honeycomb composite battery pack container for its vehicle. Key benefits will include weight reduction, enhanced safety (impact resistance and thermal stability), structural integrity and thermal management.

Team sponsors include Tesla, Dassault Systemes, Gefran, Brose, Tata Motors, Indexnine, Altium, Vactech, Bosch, Ansys, TE Connectivity, PCB Power, ICL, Baker, SVCE and Sthenos Composites.
