UD-CCM to host 24th International Conference on Composite Materials
Taking place in the U.S. for the first time since 2002, the University of Delaware welcomes attendee registration for the August 2025 event and is calling for abstract submissions by Jan. 15, 2025.
The University of Delaware Center for Composite Materials (UD-CCM, Newark, Del., U.S.) announces that it is hosting the International Conference on Composite Materials (ICCM24). The conference will be held at The Baltimore Convention Center next to the Inner Harbor in Baltimore, Maryland, and will take place Aug. 4-8, 2025. The last time this international conference was hosted in the U.S. was in 2002 in San Diego, California.
ICCM24 will feature a dedicated industry track, international networking opportunities and will be a forum for the presentation, exchange and discussion of the latest research on composite materials and their applications through a series of panel sessions. During the 5-day conference, attendees will be invited to a welcome reception, a conference banquet and a variety of poster sessions, presentations and keynotes. UD-CCM expects delegates from 50-60 countries to be in attendance.
ICCM24 conference chair Suresh Advani, Unidel Pierre S. du Pont chair of engineering at the University of Delaware, and co-chair Erik Thostenson, professor of mechanical engineering at the University of Delaware, are calling for abstract submissions through Jan. 15, 2025. Accepted abstracts will be announced no later than Feb. 18, 2025, and the speaker registration deadline is April 15, 2025. Final papers or presentations are due July 8, 2025.
UD-CCM will also be celebrating its 50th anniversary in conjunction with ICCM24. Conference attendees will be invited to reflect on the center’s rich history and look forward to its future in innovation at the 50th Anniversary Reception on Aug. 6, 2025.
