The Future of Graphene-Enhanced Epoxy is Now

Learn how the project was developed, executed and—most importantly—how this project has developed into a commercially-available enhanced bisphenol-F (bis-F) epoxy slurry.

This webinar will discuss the results of one of the first neutral head-to-head studies of using graphene in a two-part epoxy system.

A total of no less than 17 different forms of graphene were dispersed to create master batches that were then subsequently let down into formulations of just 0.5% and 0.1% loadings by weight of graphene to form test coupons at the Advanced Composites Center at the University of Maine.

Jason holds a Ph.D. in mechanical engineering from the University of Central Florida.

Executive Director, The Graphene Council

Mr. Barkan founded the Graphene Council in 2013 as a global trade and professional community connecting scientists, academics, producers, end users and commercial professionals that have an interest in the research, development and application of graphene. The mission of the Graphene Council is to be a catalyst for the commercialization of graphene by meeting the needs of the global graphene community and helping to facilitate the development and application of this unique material. For more than 30 years, Terrance Barkan, CAE, has been building trade and professional associations on a global basis, working in more than 70 countries on six continents around the world developing and implementing association growth strategy projects.

Paul Rettinger

Technology Director, Therosets - Americas; Vibrantz Technologies

Paul A. Rettinger is the technology director for thermosets in the Americas at Vibrantz Technologies. Prior to serving as technology director, Mr. Rettinger served as technology manager, quality assurance manager, quality assurance supervisor for coatings and product development scientist. An innovator of novel composite and coatings technologies, Mr. Rettinger has served on the scientific staffs of large and small corporations. Examples of his work can be found in many applications, including—but not limited to—tactile plates at walkway intersections, interior and exterior materials of high-performance vehicles, unpainted weatherable molded-in-color composites, and possibly the bumper (or the truck box) of your vehicle.
