Biesterfeld Group (Hamburg, Germany), an international distributor of specialty chemicals, pharmaceuticals and food additives, has formed a strategic partnership with textile reinforcement supplier Saertex GmbH & Co. KG (Saerbex, Germany). Starting this November, Biesterfeld will be the distribution partner for Saertex products in the German lightweight construction market, expanding the already successful collaboration between the two Polish companies
With more than 100 years of experience in the distribution of specialty products and extensive expertise in the composites industry, Biesterfeld is a well-established and valued partner for Saertex, according to Biesterfeld’s Dr. Johannes Martin, market manager performance products.
“We will be able to offer our customers customized solutions for demanding lightweight construction projects,” says Martin. “The demand for high-performance composites is continuously growing, and we are confident that the synergies between our two companies will provide significant added value for our [German] customers.”
As part of the new partnership, Biesterfeld will gain distribution rights for Saertex preforms in the German market. This includes the company’s glass and carbon fiber noncrimp fabrics (NCF), as well as product solutions such as SAERfix, SAERflow and SAERcore. Additionally, Biesterfeld will also offer other products from the Saertex portfolio, including SAERfoam, the Saertex LEO series and Saertexflax NCF to provide customers with tailored solutions for various applications.
“Biesterfeld brings valuable market knowledge and an established network, which helps us position our products optimally,” Steven Bakker, commercial director at Saertex, adds. “Through even closer collaboration and increased joint customer visits, we aim to ensure that our customers always receive the best possible solutions.”
