ATC Manufacturing, Boeing expand long-term thermoplastic composites agreement
With this contract expansion, the Post Falls-based composites manufacturer now supplies parts for all active Boeing commercial aircraft programs.
ATC Manufacturing (Post Falls, Idaho, U.S.) has been awarded an
expanded long-term agreement by Boeing (Arlington, Va., U.S.) for various thermoplastic composite components. With this contract expansion, ATC Manufacturing now supplies components to all active Boeing commercial aircraft programs including the 737, 767, 787, 777 and 777X.
In recent years, ATC Manufacturing has expanded its capabilities, including thermoforming of plastic tubes, insulation and electronic assembly, part painting, dimensional inspection, nondestructive inspection (NDI), flammability testing and more. ATC has been twice nominated as a Boeing Supplier of the Year and is a Boeing Premier Bidder.
“We are proud to remain the chosen supplier of thermoplastic composite components to Boeing,” Jason Kindred, CEO of ATC Manufacturing, says. “Our commitment to quality and our expertise in pioneering industry-leading
manufacturing technologies for these materials continues to pay off in sustainable, cost-effective and weight-saving parts and structures.”
ATC Manufacturing produces more than 1,000,000 thermoplastic components per year in its ISO 9001:2015-, AS9100D- and Nadcap-certified facility. Since 2004, ATC has pioneered the adoption of thermoplastic composites technology to produce high-quality, lighter and stronger parts and structures. See CW’s plant tour of the ATC Manufacturing facility for more details, “Plant tour: ATC Manufacturing, Post Falls, Idaho, U.S.”
