Composites in Aerospace, MedTech events offer innovative approach to composites
Composites in MedTech and Composites in Aerospace are two virtual events occuring Nov. 2 and Nov. 3, 2020, with a goal to educate participants on innovative approaches to composites.
Co-organized by Swiss industry networks, AM Network Switzerland and Swiss Aerospace Cluster, and 9T Labs (Zürich, Germany) Composites in MedTech and Composites in Aerospace are two virtual events occuring Nov. 2 and Nov. 3, 2020, respectively, with the objective to educate participants with a specific industry background on innovative approaches for composites and foster collaborations.
In Composites for MedTech, participants will learn more about carbon composites and their use in medical applications, hear about the latest innovations like additive manufacturing (AM), gain insights into new production methods and experience what will be possible in upcoming years.
The following organizations and topics will be featured:
- Design and manufacturing with high-end thermoplastic composites for medical applications: Ensinger Composites Schweiz GmbH (Otelfingen, Switzerland).
- Series production through additive manufacturing - Red Series demo: 9T Labs.
- Medical applications - Research outlook: FHNW (Switzerland) — Medical Engineering and IT.
During the virtual edition of the Composite in Aerospace event, participants will learn more about carbon composites solutions and their use in aerospace applications. Similarly, attendees will be introduced to the latest innovations, gain insights from a company specializing in metal lightweight which acquired a composite manufacturing firm, and into new surface measurement systems.
The following companies will share latest developments:
- An innovation for automated surface composite failure detection: 8tree (Germany)
- Hybrid materials - Developing clever lightweight Aeromedical solutions: Aerolite (Switzerland)
- Series production through additive manufacturing: 9T Labs
Further, attendees will have networking opportunities during breakout sessions.
