Diversified Machine Systems acquired by CMS North America
With the acquisition CMS broadens its portfolio of custom CNC machine solutions.
SCM Group (Rimini, Italy), multinational company in machinery and industrial equipment, and parent company of CMS North America (Caledonia, MI, US), announced Nov. 26 it has finalized the acquisition of Diversified Machine Systems (Colorado Springs, CO, US).
DMS designs and manufactures 3- and 5-axis CNC routers and machining centers for many plastics and composite materials applications. The company supplies machines to a wide variety of manufacturing sectors including aerospace, automotive, marine, recreational vehicles, 3D sculptures, concept models and pattern making.
“The addition of DMS to the CMS family of brands broadens our portfolio of capabilities, and expands available technologies we can deploy within our core business of offering custom CNC machine solutions,” says Andrea Aureli, SCM Group CEO.
Patrick Bollar founder of DMS and a partner in the company, will continue in his strategic role as chief technology officer. Tanya Williams will become CEO of DMS. Matt Dietrich, CEO of CMSNA, will direct and support Mr. Bollar and Ms. Williams.
