Plastics Unlimited completes facility expansion
A 30,000-square-foot expansion to the Preston, Iowa, facility adds assembly and warehouse space, thermoforming and composites manufacturing equipment and robots.

Plastics Unlimited Inc. (Preston, Iowa, U.S.) announces the completion of a 30,000-square-foot expansion to its Iowa facility, totaling 130,000 square feet of manufacturing space.
Over the past year, the company has added four robots, new assembly space, several thermoformers and warehouse space for raw materials, in-progress projects and finished products. The company says it has increased employment to 140 employees with potential for future growth.
Plastics Unlimited offers capabilities in plastic and composite products, specializing in a process called Tooless Engineered Composites (TEC) that combines fiberglass reinforcement with a thermoformed plastic shell. Other processes offered include thermoforming, urethane molding, design, and tooling and part trimming.
