RPS Composites acquires Fabricated Plastics

RPS Composites adds RTP-1 tank fabrication to its capabilities via the acquisition. Fabricated Plastics will now operate under RPS Composites Ontario Inc.

RPS Composites Inc. (Novia, Scotia, Canada), a manufacturer of fiber-reinforced plastic (FRP) and dual laminate piping systems, reported on Sept. 9 that it has acquired the assets of Fabricated Plastics Ltd. (FPL; Ontario, Canada). Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Fabricated Plastics has globally provided design, engineering and manufacturing expertise to FRP and dual laminate tank, piping and equipment customers. Further, FPL vessels and tanks service the pulp and paper, mining, chemical processing, semiconductor, food and drug and metal treating and electroplating industries.

"Their commitment to safety and product quality aligns with our RPS values, and, the product lines that include ASME RTP-1 certified tanks and vessels, are an excellent strategic fit for RPS. According to RPS Composites, FPL will operate under the RPS Composites group as RPS Composites Ontario Inc.

The company name, Fabricated Plastics, and website, will be retained by the owner, NOV.
