Jetcam nesting/IoT software release focuses on enhanced computing power performance
The company cites up to 80% reduction in NC code generation time when using Jetcam Expert CAD/CAM software version 24.
Jetcam International (Monaco, Spain) has announced the release of version 24.05.01 of its flagship Jetcam Expert CAD/CAM software, introducing new features and enhancements. According to the company, there are several key benefits for composites users, as nests can often be long and complex. A reduction of up to 80% in NC code generation, and the new 64-bit version, for instance, are two features that enable users to take advantage of greater computing power.
Key highlights of this release include:
- Availability in both 32- and 64-bit versions
- Up to 80% performance enhancement when generating NC code after nesting, along with other performance gains when working with extremely complex/dense nests
- New options for Jetcam Expert 1, including Free Form Automatic Nesting (Read Only) and 2D Routing support
- New Skeleton Parting Tooling functionality for punch and punch/laser machines
- Automatic Remnant Cutoff capability for laser, punch and combination machines
- Improved nesting algorithms and automation features
- Enhanced installation options suitable for enterprise security IT requirements
- Nine new postprocessors added and updates to numerous existing postprocessors
“V24 is all about performance. Not only have we optimized and refactored code in ‘high usage’ areas of the software, such as NC code generation, but the 64-bit preview release demonstrates a drastic increase in nesting efficiency for our high- and ultra-performance time-based nesting algorithms, delivering much more efficient nests over the same time as a 32-bit system,” says Martin Bailey, managing director of Jetcam International. “In addition to core performance changes that will benefit all users, there are new features that will aid specific groups of customers using, punch, laser, routing and knife cutting technologies.”
Jetcam Expert v24 is available immediately free of charge for customers with current maintenance contracts.
