From Sept. 9-12, CAMX, produced by the American Composites Manufacturers Assn. (ACMA) and the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE), celebrated its 10th anniversary at the San Diego Convention Center in California. Organizers report bringing together nearly 500 exhibitors and more than 6,300 attendees, an 11% increase over 2023.

The CAMX conference program this year featured 81 technical papers, more than 130 speakers, seven campfire sessions, nine featured sessions, 23 education sessions, four tutorials and two facility tours, making it one of the most comprehensive CAMX events to date. This lineup provided attendees with deep insights into the latest innovations and trends in composites manufacturing, sustainability and advanced materials.

The anniversary celebration kicked off with a thought-provoking General Session and keynote address delivered by Maurice Conti. His presentation highlighted the evolving role of technology, AI, and materials science in shaping the future, inspiring attendees with a vision of what’s to come in the next decade of composites innovation.

“It’s incredible to witness how far CAMX has come in 10 years,” says Cindy L. Squires, Esq., ACMA president and CEO. “Maurice Conti’s insights into the future of technology, materials and advanced manufacturing were inspiring, and it’s clear that our industry is poised to lead the charge in innovation for decades to come.”

The CAMX exhibit hall showcased a diverse array of businesses from industries including aerospace, automotive, architecture, 3D printing, marine, transportation, recycling, wind energy, construction and infrastructure, sports and leisure, software and academic research. Attendees had the opportunity to see cutting-edge solutions and network with key players shaping the future of composites.

“CAMX has firmly established itself as North America's premier event for the composites industry,” said Rebekah Stacha, SAMPE CEO. “The depth and breadth of innovation on display made it clear that CAMX is well positioned to continue to push boundaries and drive progress.”

On Thursday, the event concluded with Good Day, CAMX, held at the CAMX Theatre in the exhibit hall. This engaging session wrapped up the event with a lively discussion of key industry trends, showcasing the dynamic future ahead for the composites and advanced materials sector.

CAMX 2025 is set to be held Sept. 8-11, 2025 in Orlando, Florida.
