Automation specialist Cevotec (Munich, Germany) is known for its fiber patch placement (FPP) technology, enabling multi-material layup of aerospace composite parts as well as improving storage efficiency of composite tanks with FPP dome reinforcement. To handle the high demand for these applications, Cevotec is now looking for motivated C++ software developers, expert robotics and control developers, experienced automation engineers, creative composite engineers and skilled mechatronics.

“As a technology leader at the intersection of composites, mechanical engineering and software development, we offer one of the world’s most modern production systems with its dedicated CAD-CAM software: Samba and Artist Studio,” claims Thorsten Groene, CEO and co-founder of Cevotec.

The young and dynamic company cultivates a collegial atmosphere based on strong joint values. In addition, Cevotec says it can also count on the support and experience of its partner and shareholder, GFM (Gesellschaft fuer Fertigungstechnik und Maschinenbau) GmbH, an Austrian-based high-tech machinery manufacturer.

On the way to establishing FPP as a standard in composites manufacturing, important projects are now on the agenda. Dr. Florian Lenz, technical director at Cevotec, explains: “Besides further enhancement of multi-material layup capabilities and serving ongoing customer projects, in 2022 our technical teams mainly focus on the realization of a Samba system specially dedicated to the production of hydrogen [H2] tank dome reinforcement. In addition to commissioning several of these Samba PV systems in 2023, one of them will be available in our cevoLab to work with interested H2 tank manufacturers on further R&D projects.”

To make this a reality, Cevotec is now looking for new colleagues who are willing to take on exciting challenges and who want to advance the technology together with the established team. The following five positions are vacant:

  • Robotics & Control System Developer (m/f/x) whose tasks include the design and development of new machine functional designs, control architecture and process automation solutions in close communication with customers.
  • A Senior Automation Mechanical Engineer (m/f/x) requires experience in automation components as well as machinery construction and combines the design, planning and realization of industrial production systems and customer projects.
  • The main tasks of an Engineer Application Development Composites (m/f/x) are the conceptual design and development of customer components, demonstrators and the associated manufacturing equipment as well as the planning and execution of fiber composites manufacturing.
  • A Mechatronics Technician (m/f/x) will be responsible for assembling machine components and automation systems and will support the team in optimizing the manufacturing processes.
  • C++ Software Developer (m/f/x) includes the development, improvement and testing of Cevotec’s CAD-CAM software, Artist Studio.

“Our ideal candidates are analytical as well as results-driven and have learned to handle also difficult requirements in a pragmatic way,” concludes Lenz. “As the technology leader in FPP, we offer in return exciting technical challenges, innovative technologies and a dynamic environment. Our customer base is very international and comprises world-leading companies from aerospace, hydrogen and other industries — we are at the forefront of technical innovation in our field!”

Flat hierarchies, fast decision-making and individual responsibility paired with flexible working hours, mobile work options and incentives like lunch and gym support underline the atmosphere at Cevotec. Following the motto “Let’s jointly set milestones in composites,” the international team is looking forward to motivated new colleagues.

All open positions at Cevotec are based in Unterhaching, near Munich, Germany. Interested candidates are invited to check out details and apply here.
