JEC Forum DACH reveals Startup Booster, AVK Innovation award winners
Awards highlight dynamic composite innovations in industry.
JEC Forum DACH, launched by JEC Group (Paris, France) in partnership with AVK (Industrievereinigung Verstärkte Kunststoffe e.V., Frankfurt, Germany), the German Federation of Reinforced Plastics, has announced the winner of this year’s JEC Startup Booster competition as well as AVK Innovation Award first, second and third place winners.
Five Startup Booster finalists pitched their innovations in front of the event’s jury of composites experts. After deliberation of the jury in a closed room, the winner is Carbocon (Dresden, Germany), is an independent service provider in the field of the innovative carbon-reinforced concrete building material. The company operates in different areas of business, ranging from civil engineering services to introducing new products and processes to the market. In this way, Carbocon seeks to advocate progress and sustainability in the building industry.
The AVK Innovation Awards support new products, components and applications made from fiber-reinforced plastics (FRP) and promote new processes and methods for the manufacture of FRP products with a specific focus on sustainable solutions. Nine companies and projects were welcomed on stage during the event and awarded for breaking new grounds in the field of composites:
