Managing Composites, TNL presents Automotive Systems program

Two-hour online course, running eight sessions between July and August 2024, is targeting automotive aficionados who are interested in a deep dive into automotive’s history and current innovations.

Managing Composites (Madrid, Spain) and The Native Lab (TNL, Madrid) announce an upcoming online Automotive Systems course, which will provide attendees with a view of automotive’s history, innovations and improvements that have taken it to its current state of art, as well as a a deep dive into powertrain structure and technology innovations being introduced to the automotive industry. 

The program is running a total of eight sessions (6-8 p.m. CET/12-1 p.m. ET) on Thursdays from July 4, 2024 until Aug. 22, 2024 for a total of 16 hours. A Q&A is available at the end for attendees.

Content will specifically focus on:

  • The history of the automotive industry
  • Car structures
  • Mechanical systems
  • Electrical systems
  • Engines
  • Transmissions
  • New technologies

Coverage of automotive exteriors where composites are often involved, as well as key examples of composites use in cars (like hypercars) will also be prevalent.

Instructors include Oscar Vazquez and Luis Miguel Gutierrez. Vazqeuz is an  engineer at Managing Composites with more than 10 years of industry experience, including work as a former engineer at Ford. His passion for and about automotive also stems from his time as a leader of the F1 Simulator, a Formula and GT racing simulator game.

Miguel Gutierrez, also an engineer at Managing Composites, is an “aficionado of everything that is automotive.” He could recognize any car prototype and tell you the model and year of production.
