Optris, Fraunhofer IOSB online workshop provides insights into noncontact temperature measurement
Two free online workshop sessions occurring Dec. 1 and 2 will provide a comprehensive overview of noncontact temperature measurement technology using infrared and application examples.

Noncontact temperature measurement devices manufacturer Optris GmbH (Berlin, Germany) and Fraunhofer Institute of Optronics, System Technologies and Image Exploitation (IOSB, Karlsruhe, Germany) is offering two free, online 90-minute infrared workshops occurring December 1 and 2. Attendees can expect a comprehensive program led by Optris application engineers in cooperation with various sales partners and institutions, providing insights into noncontact temperature measurement technology via practical model demonstrations using infrared, as well as its fields of application.
Each workshop will be held in English. Topics include:
- Physical laws
- Infrared measurement systems
- Emissivity and measuring environment
- Avoidance of measurement errors
- Evaluation of measurement results
- Applications and measurement exercises
The first session for Europe and Asia will be held Dec. 1 at 10:00 a.m. CET and can be registered here. The second session for the Americas on Dec. 2 is at 4:00 p.m. CET and can be registered here.
