Conductive Composites (Heber City, Utah, U.S.) has been growing with the CAMX community for decades with a focus on developing and manufacturing multifunctional electrically conductive composite materials such as nickel-coated fibers, nonwovens, broad goods and nanostrands in order to overcome a spectrum of electrical conductivity and electromagnetic challenges. As the company has grown, Conductive Composites has significantly expanded its line of material offerings, as well as developed and began sales of complementary products such as shielded injection-molded cases and architectural shielding products such as paints, caulks and wallpapers.

This year the company highlights new material offerings which include a new line of NiShield nonwovens with increased width. The highly conductive broad good veil is now available in widths up to 66". Traditional nonwoven veils are produced by chopping and binding conductive fibers, making the binders insulative and thereby degrading electrical performance with corresponding limitations in weight, caliber, and conductivity. Alternately, Conductive Composites says its coated broadgoods are coated evenly as a finished good, producing a uniform, robust, ultra-lightweight and highly conductive veil.

Conductive Composites also exhibits NiBond, a ready-to-use electrically conductive two-part structural epoxy adhesive that is said to provide optimized conductivity across bonds for a wide range of surfaces. Engineered to provide the highest combination of strength and conductivity at a lower price point than traditional conductive adhesives, NiBond uses a new class of highly structured nickel to impart high conductivity performance at low loading levels. NiBond is ideal for applications in the aerospace, composites, communications and other industrial sectors that require high levels of performance to meet system requirements. Applicable with all standard methods, NiBond is a two-part formulation that is easy to mix and apply.
