Fiberglass and resin materials distributor Imate Composites (Cuautitlán Izcalli, México) is showcasing its raw materials supply for composite operations, including fiberglass, resins and catalysts. The company guarantees the quality and delivery of its products as well as top tier technical assistance and personalized customer service.

Imate offers various types of roving, including spray-up, single-end roving and woven roving. Spray-up roving is used in the spray-up process and is often used in open molding. The spray roving thread facilitates the rapid production of large parts such as auto parts for RVs, boat hulls and swimming pools, among others.

Single-end roving offerings are applicable for pultrusion and filament winding processes. Direct roving wire, ideal for applications requiring high glass content, is advantageous for similar composites processes, offering high strength.

Woven roving is used in open mold lamination processes where joint lamination is required. This material is often used in conjunction with spray roving thread or fiberglass mats; continuous filament, chopped strand and stitched mats are available through Imate.

The company’s distribution extends to polyester and vinyl ester resins. Polyester resin formulations available include: orthophthalic-based general-purpose resin; isophthalic-based resins with high thermal distortion and corrosion resistance; and dicyclopentadiene-based resins (DCPD) for low shrinkage and improved cosmetic specialty resins for fire resistance, food service or specific corrosion resistance.

Imate’s vinyl ester resin is used extensively in the container and marine industries, as well as for the production of corrosion-resistant tanks, pipes and other components.
